1982 Special Bug - West Germany

A Mexican special for Europe only, 1200/34hp with Mars Red or Metallic Black paint. The following in black finish - tailpipes, bumpers (with gold stripes), window trim, rear lamp pods, headlamp rims, boot, bonnet and door locks, running board moulding, hubcaps, aerial and exterior mirror. Side stripes and stripe below 'waist' trim mouldings in gold as well as gold 'Special Bug' logos on engine cover and bonnet. Interior features leatherette and fabric upholstery with seat facings in black and gold tartan and black head restraints, 'Saltzgitter' radio, heated rear window. The Jetta derived gearshift knob also has the 'Special Bug' logo.
