During June 1971 Brussels based Belgian VW importer D'Ieteren produced the 1300cc Gemini Beetle. Gemini Metallic (L96E) paintwork with Black seats and interior side panels, heated rear windscreen, rocket style 'Gemini VW' logo (inspired by Gemini B/Titan space programme?) on side quarters, 4.5x15 Ritter (Sprintstar style) sports wheels, twin fog lights. A second edition was produced in January 1972.
